I use an Apple iPhone and Watch. Activity is recorded using the excellent watch app WorkOutDoors.
Total distance walked 277.4k out of an anticipated 373k. 74% which is pretty good actually. 95k to finish in the autumn which seems eminently doable, as long as I listen to my body.
The screenshots below show total calories used – this includes the nominal 2000 a day for being alive.
The app also shows active calories- those used by by act of walking. These tot up to 19,206 additional calories used.
I also tracked my calorie intake using app MyFitnessPal. I did find it difficult to eat enough during the heat so had a deficit all bar one day – that pub meal!
Jumping on my usual weighing scales before and after showed I lost 1.7kg while walking. A surprising amount.
