SWCP day 12

Katy lives in a thatched cottage. A new experience to me – you don’t hear rain on the roof unlike tiled roofs like home. Overnight thunder and lightning woke me several times.

The rain is very heavy and persistent this morning. Lightning followed by thunder right overhead making me jump!

My first resupply box was waiting for me. Thanks Lisa ❤️

New to me – five toe liner socks.
My breakfast porridge homemade mix – oats, oat bran, chia seeds, molasses sugar and powdered coconut milk. Just add water.

A second parcel of stuff was packaged up to go home. It was stuff I thought I needed but as it was deadweight I packed it off. Combined with the first one in total nearly 3lbs weight removed. My bag feels much lighter as a consequence.

Sunday was spent lazing around. Snoozing, gossiping with Katy, walking her dog Nevil, eating and watching rugby on the telly with a couple of beers.

The road outside had water streaming down it. Katy said it’s times like this the village becomes an island – roads flooded at either end.

Apparently a months worth of rain fell in one day!
