Zero in Mammoth. Laundry, eating, food shopping, eating, I watch a movie in bed.

Mammoth is at 8000ft but for me it was still too hot to be out mid-afternoon.sun very harsh.

I make contact with Traci who had engaged me in conversation at Deep Creek hot springs a month earlier. She’d offered to show me the sights in Mammoth; we make plans to hit a hot spring very early the next day before the sun gets too strong.

8pm, power cut at Motel6, apparently town wide. Power cut lasted several hours. 5G still up, cars are running.
