29th June

Traci picks me up from the motel at 6.45am in her battered 4wd truck. With 3 dogs causing mayhem we drive for 30 minutes cross country to Little Hot Creek, Siphon Tub.

Aah, relaxing time.

We have the place to ourselves for 2 hours, adjusting the tap to get the desired temperature we ease in and talk food, life in Mammoth, the three dogs, and generally have a pleasant morning.

The north end of this valley hasn’t had its wild wet pastures drained to provide drinking water to LA. South of here it’s a dust bowl down to Owens Lake.
Traci.

Returning to town we visit Elixir for a salad lunch then the Fun toy shop next door for ice cream.

Not tempted.
