New Valley Hills

At 7am Rick and I head out. Houdini returns to trail.

Rick is on a photography holiday. After the mountains he’s heading to Sacramento for sunflowers, hoping to catch a lovely panorama to print for his wife’s home office.

For 2 hours we drive west from Yosemite sharing tales. At a coffee break he finds out current conditions aren’t great for a good shoot. Asking where I’m actually going he offers to drive me to Joe and Sai’s door as he has time to spare! A total hitch this morning of 5 hours and 213 miles from Yosemite to Kenwood. An Uber would’ve cost $300, or public transport taken 13 hours.
