How many miles have I walked?
418 miles in the desert section from Campo to Acton
Skipped up to Walker Pass at mile 665, avoiding 235 miles of the hottest part of the desert.
Walked 278 miles through the Sierra to Tuolumne Meadows at mile 943.
Skipped up to Ashland Oregon at mile 1720 to avoid heat and fires.
Walked 16 miles in Oregon to mile 1736. Came off trail not to continue.
In total 712 miles walked. This is my hike of the PCT, morphing from a thru hike to a section hike. Hard to believe it’s still only just over a quarter of the PCT!
