I’m British, writing this from my perspective being a middle aged white man with liberal and socialist political leanings.

I’d pop myself towards the lower end of the middle class bracket in the English class system. Thankfully after 35 years of employment I now own my home outright and have been lucky enough to retire at 55 with a very modest private pension. I’m time rich, cash poor.

I have 3 siblings. Our parents are into their 6th decade of marriage.

I have a wife Lisa and two cats Pascal and Florence. We live in a rural cheese producing area south of Bristol in the United Kingdom South West area, though we are not cheese producers.
