Day 7 10th May

I’m on the trail! 77 miles along.

It’s all been a bit of a whirl of adjustments and needing to press on, meaning little time to blog.

I’ve stayed overnight in Julian, a gold rush town in California. With WiFi I’m able to upload a few photos.

Hot and very dry. Humidity of ~20%
Found some hiking buddies.
Dawn yesterday from wild camp spot.
A very long way to go.
Enormous food portions.
Desert flowers.

Awesome pictures Patrick. Your smile says it all (probably not 🤣). And if they called that plate of cheese, fries and gravy a poutine the. You better get yourself to my side of the world quickly – that is most definitely NOT poutine!cheering you on,🇨🇦🥓

  2. Great photos Patrick. Looks cool in the nights? I expect the first miles feel hard – while your body to get used to the routine.

Julian looks a bit like a one horse town. I saw a photo of a sign for the Julian Cider Mill. Is that what drew you there?
